The XJ Junior clubs offer the same innovative technologies as Callaway's adult X Series clubs.
The ultimate set for junior golfers looking to jumpstart their love of the game, the Callaway XJ Junior six-piece boy's club set is designed for boys between the ages of 5 and 8 years (or 41 to 50 inches tall). Every club in the set comes with the same innovative advancements built into Callaway's X Series adult clubs, but with a kid-specific flair. Overall, the XJ Junior clubs offer the perfect blend of performance and forgiveness, letting junior golfers play confidently and aggressively. Now kids can play with golf clubs designed specifically for them and their unique swing needs. The set starts with a 320cc aluminum driver. A smaller version of the Callaway X460 adult driver, the club boasts an ultra-consistent alignment sole and a larger effective hitting area, helping junior golfers hit longer drives with more forgiveness than ever before. The stainless-steel fairway wood, meanwhile, precisely positions the center of gravity (CG) on the perimeter, increasing the moment of inertia (MOI) and helping get the ball in the air quickly and easily. Junior golfers will love the versatile stainless-steel #5 hybrid, a go-to club that can be used almost anywhere on the course. Finally, the cavity-back 9-iron and 56-degree wedge are outfitted with Extreme Notch Weighting technology. The design redistributes weight to the low, rearward area of the club in the toe and heel, creating a high MOI and improving distance and accuracy on all swings, even mis-hits. The wedge even includes Mack Daddy junior grooves that deliver terrific shot-stopping control.
The XJ junior set also comes with the XJ Odyssey 2-Ball putter. Equipped with Callaway's popular 2-Ball alignment system, the putter makes it easier than ever to line up putts. The goal of Callaway's X-Series irons has always been lofty: to set the performance standard for the industry. Now Callaway does it again with the X-22 irons, the best X-Series irons the company has ever made. Callaway's X-22 irons are dialed in for maximum performance, with such features as Precision Notch Weighting, VFT Technology, a Modified Tru-Bore design, and a tour-inspired head shape. It's no wonder that the X-22 irons won a gold medal in the "game improvement irons" category from Golf Digest's 2009 Hot List. As one tester said of the X-22s: "I could hit these blindfolded. Sign me up right now." Currently sitting in tour player Rocco Mediate's bag, the X-22s received five stars in three of the four Hot List categories. The X-22s are the heirs of the unbelievably successful X-20 irons, which were used by Mediate as well as Senior U.S. Open Champion Eduardo Romero and LPGA winner Leta Lindley.

Callaway's X-22 irons are dialed in for maximum performance and serious forgiveness.
Callaway Golf Technologies
The X-22 irons are outfitted with several core technologies, including both relatively new innovations and technologies that have stood the test of time. Callaway maximized the perimeter weighting of the X-22s to create a moment of inertia (MOI) that's 10 percent higher than earlier versions, giving you more leeway on off-center strikes. This boosts the club's overall forgiveness and stability, while still maintaining the center-of-gravity position that produces an ideal trajectory and feel. The X-22s Variable Face Thickness (VFT) technology, meanwhile, maximizes ball speed and perimeter weighting to create even more distance and forgiveness. And a crucial improvement comes in the form of the S2H2 design, a patented technology that shortens the length of the hosel, allowing the weight to be moved lower and to the more useful perimeter area of the clubhead. Add in a 360-Degree Undercut Channel--which maximizes perimeter weighting by moving the center of gravity even lower and farther back--and you have a club that hits the ball far and straight even on rough swings. The X-22 irons are also aesthetically pleasing, with a PGA Tour-inspired head shape that incorporates a thin top line and a narrow sole. As a result, the clubs look and feel great in your hand while still offering a large sweet spot--a must for casual players. Finally, the X-22s boast an advanced version of Callaway's original Tru-Bore design, which features a polycarbonate tip plug at the end of the shaft to dampen vibration and enhance feel and performance.

The X-22 irons include a Tour-inspired head shape and precise perimeter weighting for added leeway on off-center hits.

Taking top honors in Golf Digest's 2010 Hot List, this standard version of the Callaway Diablo Edge Driver offers superior face technology, a higher MOI, a deeper CG, and better aerodynamics--all adding up to the longest, most accurate all-titanium driver Callaway has made yet. It features a unique construction that fuses four titanium elements together for optimal weight efficiency and longer ball flight, and improved aerodynamics for reduced drag in the down swing. It's complemented by an Adela Habanero high-performance graphite shaft, which provides incredible feel and performance.

Callaway's standard version of the Diablo Edge Driver.
Standard vs. Tour Models
Diablo Edge Drivers feature two unique shapes, but all the same technology. Both drivers offer a 4-piece fused titanium design, a chemically milled hyperbolic face cup, and an aerodynamic body shape.
  • The standard model features a core Callaway technology (S2H2), which removes weight from the hosel and repositions it in the perimeter of the golf club for more stability.
  • The Tour model has a full-length hosel, less face progression and an optimized center of gravity that provides the look, feel and performance highly skilled golfers demand.

Callaway Core Technology: S2H2
Callaway's patented Short, Straight, Hollow, Hosel (S2H2) shortened the length of the hosel, allowing weight to be moved lower and to the more useful perimeter area of the clubhead. This bore-through design (Modified Tru-Bore Technology) allows the shaft tip to extend through the hosel and clubhead to the sole, improving feel and control by moving the tip of the shaft closer to the center of the clubface.

4-piece Fused Titanium Design
The use of Fused Titanium in a 4-piece modular design produces the most weight efficient all titanium driver Callaway's ever created. Each part is precision-formed and accurately fused together, allowing weight to be positioned optimally, delivering distance-enhancing, penetrating ball flight.
Chemically Milled Hyperbolic Face Cup
An acid chemical reduction process selectively removes unwanted material from the face cup for precision thickness control, resulting in our most consistently high ball speeds ever. And the strategic hyperbolic shaping of the face thickness dramatically improves impact efficiency and produces a larger effective hitting area--resulting in less disparity between the balls you hit in the center of the clubface and the balls you don't.

The sweet spot on a Callaway club with Hyperbolic Face Technology on the left, and a traditionally faced club on the right.
Compared to standard clubs, ball speed on off-center impacts from this club with Hyperbolic Face Technology will be noticeably greater. This contributes significantly to total distance on off-center hits.

Amazon.com Product Description
Receiving a gold medal from Golf Digest's 2010 Hot List for Super Game Improvement Irons, this 8-club set of Callaway Diablo Edge irons provide increased distance without compromising feel or performance. The lower, deeper center of gravity (CG) makes the sweet spot more accessible and is in line with where amateurs most commonly hit the ball on the clubface, generating longer, consistent distance and improved accuracy. And Callaway's core technologies like VFT, S2H2, Modified Tru-Bore, and a 360-Degree Undercut Channel work together to maximize distance, feel and playability.

Callaway's gold medal-winning Diablo Edge irons (see larger image).
This 8-club set features graphite shafts and includes the following clubs: #3H, #4H, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9, PW (see specs for this set).

Maximized Distance
A lower, deeper CG is designed to make the sweet spot more accessible at lower impact locations. This generates longer, more consistent distance and improves accuracy for more greens in regulation.

Solid Impact Sole
Delivering smooth turf interaction, the sole is designed to mitigate the effects of heavy and thin shots and improve the impact location on the face for greater distance.

Callaway Core Technology: 360-Degree Undercut Channel
The 360-Degree Undercut Channel found in these Callaway irons (seen at left) maximizes perimeter weighting by moving the center of gravity (CG) lower and farther back in the clubhead, enlarging the hitting area and stabilizing the clubhead for more forgiveness.

Callaway Core Technology: VFT Technology
With Callaway's VFT Technology, the club creates higher ball speeds across the entire face, meaning hotter distance with more consistency. The face is thicker in the center and ultra-thin around the edges, which allows more energy from the impact of the clubface to be transferred to the ball. In irons, VFT Technology allows Callaway Golf engineers to lower the center of gravity for optimum trajectory with each iron in the set, giving a higher launch angle in the long irons and better trajectory height in short irons and wedges.

Callaway's FT-9 Tour driver combines versatility, distance, and control to help you hit long, precise shots.
Explaining Callaway Golf Technologies
Callaway Golf makes unique use of carbon composite material in the body of Fusion drivers. The idea behind the technology--which took 10 years of research to perfect--has always been to move weight from areas of the clubhead where it's less useful to where it's needed most. Carbon composite begins as woven strands of fine, black carbon fiber, each strand approximately 1/10th the thickness of human hair. After combining and impregnating the individual carbon fibers with epoxy resin, Callaway lays the carbon composite into a tool that's shaped like the driver body. The company then adds internal weights to build draw, neutral, or fade-biased clubheads, heats the tool, and ultimately fuses the carbon fiber strands and epoxy into a single strong shell. The resulting clubhead is weighted strongly to the perimeter, creating the moment of inertia (MOI) and CG you need to drive the ball long and straight. The club's Hyperbolic Face Technology, meanwhile, represents Callaway's commitment to setting a standard in the all-titanium driver market. Three years in the making, Hyperbolic Face Technology redefines the speed at which golf balls leave the clubface by strategically re-shaping the face with a hyperbolic curve. This dramatically improves the impact efficiency and produces a larger effective hitting area, in turn generating higher ball speeds across the entire face. Golfers with FT-9 Tour drivers will enjoy significant distance on off-center hits, giving you less disparity between the balls you hit in the center of the clubface and balls you don't.
Another favorite technology included in the FT-9 Tour is the club's OptiFit weighting system, which lets golfers customize their driver with one of two center of gravity locations: draw, which promotes a draw or reduces a slice/fade; and neutral, which offers maximum workability. As a bonus, Callaway located the club's web weighting on the exterior of the clubhead, allowing golfers to precisely position the weights to match up with their swing types. The result is longer, more accurate drives with every swing.
